This beautiful photographers apartment is an oasis of calm a stone’s throw from London Bridge. Accessed by elevator to the third floor of a modern apartment block with concierge. The flat is warmly furnished with a mixture of contemporary and vintage pieces. The owner has adorned the space with textiles and artwork from her travels in Africa and India. The bright double bedroom overlooks a quiet private park and boasts the most extraordinary close-up view of the Shard. There’s a beautiful fitted handmade wardrobe available for guests. The pristine bathroom has both shower and bath. The open plan living room / kitchen area incorporates a fully fitted kitchen with integrated washer/dryer. The light filled living area has a large window which, like the bedroom, looks out onto the historic gardens of the 14th Century Marshall Sea Prison. Furnishing includes two sofas, a desk, a TV and an upholstered sofa that can be unfolded to become a comfortable bed for an adult or two children. A circular dining table comfortably seats four.
Despite its central location, London Bridge is more than just a commuter hub. It also encompasses the gastronomic delights of Borough Market. Sites to visit include, historical HMS Belfast and the stories of Potters Fields Women at Potters Field Park. Visitors in search of culture will also find many theatres, museums and galleries nearby. In the impressive shadow of the Shard there are bountiful pubs, bars and restaurants, from the mainstream tourist traps to the hidden gems tucked away from the busiest streets.
